The Vision Behind Bay Creek

Bay Creek is being developed by the award-winning Baymark Construction Corp., headed by Richard Foster. Foster has established a reputation for uncompromising quality and demanding standards. His communities balance the human need for "quality of life" with respect for the sensitivities of the natural environment of the Chesapeake Bay region.
Known for his outstanding contributions to the world of residential development, Dick Foster and Baymark Construction have become synonymous with exceptional community design and development. Since its inception in 1980, Foster and Baymark Construction have received numerous awards for outstanding residential designs. In 2003, Bay Creek was chosen as one of "America's 100 Best Master-Planned Communities" by Where to Retire magazine. West Neck, another Baymark Community, was also honored with this recognition, meaning that two out of five Virginia communities recognized were Baymark communities.
In addition to his keen sense of development, Foster is actively involved in numerous civic organizations. From Hope Haven Children's Home, a non-profit organization devoted to the future of less fortunate children, to the Urban Forest Council of Virginia, Foster continues to share his philosophy with all walks of life. He is one of the founding fathers of The 500 Year Forest, a dedicated effort to preserve our nation's woodlands for a minimum of twenty generations, demonstrating once again that his commitment to our nation's land and its people is of paramount importance in his own life. In addition, Foster previously has served as a board member of Virginia Wesleyan College, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and The Virginia Marine Science Museum.
It's this same exacting detail and commitment to a vision that follows Foster in each of the communities he creates. From the detailed plans that create the extraordinary lifestyle to the beautiful landscaping that blankets Bay Creek Resort & Club, Foster goes to great lengths to preserve the natural habitats in each new development.
