Tom joined Bay Creek Resort & Club in 2000 when construction on the Palmer Course began. Tom has forty-two years experience in the golf business, starting as a caddie at the age of thirteen. Tom served as a Rules Official for the 1976 PGA Championship and competed in the National Long Drive Championships from 1977 - 1987. He is currently President of the Virginia Beach Golf Course Association.
Joe began his career at Deer Run Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio as an assistant professional in 1992 and became a PGA Member in 1995. After a few years he moved to Jack Nicklaus Sports Center in Mason, Ohio where he became Head Professional. The club was one of the first Nicklaus designs, and hosted events from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours. In 2001, Joe was named the first Head Professional at The Signature at West Neck in Virginia Beach. In 2005, he was pleased to return to his Nicklaus roots when he moved to Bay Creek Resort & Club as Head Professional and in 2008 he was named Director of Golf. Joe was chosen Merchandiser of the Year in the Ohio PGA in 2002 and won the same award in the Middle Atlantic PGA in 2007.
In 2003 Zach graduated from North Greenville College in Tigerville, South Carolina with a BS degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration. Zach started all four years on the college golf team and was a collegiate All-American his senior year. A native of Virginia and a product of Virginia junior golf, Zach came to Bay Creek in May 2003 to complete a required internship from college and has been employed by Bay Creek ever since.
John has been a PGA Member since 1995 and has an extensive resume as an accomplished teacher and player. He has won a number of MAPGA tournaments and played in the 1997 PGA Championship. John grew up on the Chesapeake Bay in Newport News, Virginia and joined the Bay Creek team in April 2008.
Mike has seventeen years of experience working in the golf industry, starting at the age of 14 as a caddie growing up in New Hampshire. Michael graduated from Ithaca College where he was a member of the varsity golf team. His experience includes over seven years caddying both in New Hampshire and at Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, and Spanish Bay golf courses in California. Michael also has a combined eight years working in golf operations at the Shattuck and Winchendon School golf courses in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as at the La Costa Resort and Spa and Eastlake golf courses in the San Diego area.
Ashley began her employment at Bay Creek in March 2003 in the Golf Shop and has experience in many of the departments at the Club. She has been in the position of Membership Director since May 2007 after serving as Assistant Membership Director for several years.
Staci’s event planning experience began in 2004 and highlights include four company holiday parties and numerous catered events. She spent twelve years in the private aviation industry where she acquired first-class customer service experience. Staci has been involved with Baymark Construction since 1996 and continues to contribute to the vision as Member Events Manager.
Brook is the Director of Golf Course Maintenance and Landscaping for the Bay Creek Resort and the Bay Creek community. Brook is a 1977 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in agronomy. He has been a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association since 1997 and a Certified Golf Course Superintendent since 1985.
Mike has been at Bay Creek since 2000, when the Arnold Palmer Course began construction, and was previously the Assistant Superintendent of the Blue/Gold Course at Ford’s Colony Country Club.
Miles is the Chef and Manager of Bay Creek’s Coach House Tavern. Born in New Orleans and raised in Greenville, Georgia, Miles spent four years as a MS in the U.S. Navy and later trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Miles comes to Bay Creek from The Signature Grille where he has been the Chef and Kitchen Manager since it’s opening in November 2001.
